Notifications - Help

A notification is a method for receiving prayer times through email or Slack.

1. You decide which location(s) you want prayer times notifications sent.
2. For each location, you decide which prayer times you to be notified for. This can be all or some of the prayer.

There is no charge - It is completely free to use.

However you will need to register with us so our system can send our notifications to you.

If you are already registered, simply login to view your current notifications.

Manage your notifications by visiting the notifications page.

Locate the place you want and click the add notification button

Currently we support notifying you by email or slack, but we are working on supporting others, so check back soon.

You need an incoming webhook URL. The simplest way to obtain this is by creating a new app in Slack and enabling incoming webhooks. We only require the webhook URL, which you can specify under settings. If you don’t see Slack listed as an alert type when editing a notification, it means we don’t have a webhook URL for you.

Webhook URLs are custom URLs that you set up. They allow SalahTimes to post information to a channel in Slack, with the channel being specified by you when creating the webhook.

You need to ensure that we have an email address for you under settings. Please make sure you are logged in for this.
